At the beginning of April, Nintendo revealed to the world that both Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey would be getting additional VR support through the Labo, offering unique new experiences for both games. After a month of waiting, the update is finally live and available to play.
To make sure the update has been pushed through, simply make sure your console is ready for automatic updates. There’s nothing more that needs to be done if that’s active. If not, simply go to the main menu and download from there.
So what’s new? Super Mario Odyssey has additional content that is compatible with VR for certain areas of the open-world setting. Unlike Mario, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is getting a complete overhaul, allowing players to “sight-see” all of the stunningly beautiful places the latest Zelda game has to offer.
Should the reception go over well, who knows what other titles we can see get the virtual reality treatment through Nintendo! The sky is definitely the limit here and assuming that the latest kit is up to task, this could mean beautiful things on the horizon for Nintendo fans.
