If you’re worried that Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U won’t live up to the hype – mainly because there’s no sign of the first two games, since the system isn’t getting the trilogy package – don’t be. Today, BioWare confirmed that the port will be fully featured, with not only the main game, but a bunch of extras.
First off, a new interactive back story, through the form of a digital comic, will be offered through the Wii U version, so you can learn everything you need to know before jumping in the game. You’ll also be able to access all the previously released downloadable content right on the disc, including From Ashes, the Extended Cut add-on, Rebellion, Resurgence and Earth multiplayer packs. A bonus heavy weapon will be thrown in as well.
“The updated version will allow Wii U players to get the back story of Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 and will allow them to make decisions at key story points,” said BioWare producer Melanie Faulknor. “These choices will then create a save game for you that can be imported into the game, opening up more storylines for each player.”
Sounds cool. Look for the game to release alongside the system on November 18th.
