The Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which was announced late last year, has finally been given a May 14 release date. You can check out the enhanced visuals in a brand-new trailer below.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition Receives New Trailer & Official Release Date
The Legendary Edition was one of the worst kept secrets, so fans have known of its existence for quite some time before its initial reveal. Now, after many months of speculation and waiting to see in-game footage, we’re finally here.
It will include all three Mass Effect games, with every DLC released for all three. The visuals have been enhanced for 4K HDR performance alongside some new models, shaders, FX, and lighting.
A big takeaway from this is that you’ll be able to play as the ME3 Female Shepard in all three of the games. This will add more consistency for those players through all games back to back.
The Mako received an overhaul to control more consistently as well, which should help out some of those larger sections in Mass Effect 1.
Fans of Mass effect finally have something to look forward to again.
It’ll be exciting to see new and old fans hop into the series again when Mass Effect Legendary Edition launches on May 14 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with forward compatibility and targeted enhancements on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation®5, as well as on PC via Origin and Steam.
