Today, Microsoft has officially acquired ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks. Now we knew this was happening for a few months but as of today, they have dotted their t’s and crossed their I’s.

A little bit of news has also come alongside this announcement in Phil Spencer’s post on Xbox Wire.
First off, some more Bethesda titles will be hitting Xbox Game Pass later this week. So be on the lookout for whatever titles are coming.
The next, larger announcement, is that we have finally received our first confirmation that there will be exclusive Bethesda games on Xbox and PC.
You can read the excerpt from the Xbox Wire article below.
“This is the next step in building an industry-leading first party studios team, a commitment we have to our Xbox community. With the addition of the Bethesda creative teams, gamers should know that Xbox consoles, PC, and Game Pass will be the best place to experience new Bethesda games, including some new titles in the future that will be exclusive to Xbox and PC players.”
While it obviously does not specify which new titles will be exclusive, we now have at least an official word that some games will only be on the Xbox and PC. If you own an Xbox this is great news as your library is now going to get larger.
We’re curious to see what Bethesda has planned for the rest of this year and next. Currently, Deathloop is set to release in May, but outside of that date, we don’t have much news coming out of Bethesda.
