Earlier this morning, pre-orders went live at Mondo for vinyl soundtracks including Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4, and The Medium. In less than an hour after pre-orders went live, soundtracks for both Silent Hill 3 and The Medium were both sold out.
The soundtrack for Silent Hill 4 is still available (color vinyl sold out, black vinyl available), but we imagine it’ll be sold out like the other two soundtracks before the end of the day.
Mondo Soundtracks for Silent Hill 3 and The Medium Sold Out in Less Than an Hour

In an impressive showing of interest, Mondo vinyl soundtracks for Silent Hill 3 and The Medium sold out less than an hour after pre-orders went live.
In particular, it’s impressive for us to see The Medium soundtrack sell out faster than the soundtrack for Silent Hill 4 given that it’s slightly more expensive. The soundtrack for The Medium was priced at $40 (USD) while the soundtracks for Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill 4 are priced at $35 (USD).
Additionally, even though The Medium soundtrack features Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka, the game itself isn’t Silent Hill and reviews for it have been all over the place. Some critics, ourselves included, praised The Medium with a high review score after its release earlier this year.
Others parodied the game’s name by saying the game was medium, average, or mediocre. Whatever your thoughts on The Medium are, you have to admit it’s impressive to see the soundtrack sell out alongside the soundtrack for Silent Hill 3.
Mondo will occasionally restock inventory and they mentioned as much on Twitter, assuring potential buyers that the vinyl soundtracks for Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill 4 will restock sometime next year, 2022.
Mondo has yet to mention whether The Medium soundtrack will be restocked as well, but our guess is that it probably will restock alongside the soundtracks for Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill 4.
If you’re wondering what’s included with the vinyl soundtracks from Mondo, the Silent Hill soundtracks come courtesy of a collaboration with Konami. Both Silent Hill soundtracks include new artwork from Ashley Swidowski and Nephelomancer, and are pressed on 2x 180 Gram Black vinyl with options for colored vinyl.
With the vinyl soundtrack for The Medium, it’s printed on a limited edition 140 Gram Brown and Oxblood Red vinyl. Included with the vinyl is a gatefold sleeve with art from Bloober Team and a Bandcamp code for buyers to download the soundtrack digitally.
