During the Nintendo Direct, a brand new Monster Hunter Rise expansion was announced.
Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak is A Brand-New Expansion Launching On Switch & PC In Summer 2022
Opening the show was the announcement of Monster hunter Rise: Sunbreak, an all-new massive expansion for Monster hunter Rise coming Summer 2022 for the Nintendo Switch and PC. You can read the official description of the game below from a release given to the press from Nintendo.
“Capcom is currently working on a massive, paid DLC expansion for the hit Nintendo Switch game MONSTER HUNTER RISE. The expansion will include newly added stories, locales and monsters, as well as newly added hunting actions and quest rank. MONSTER HUNTER RISE: SUNBREAK is scheduled to be released in summer 2022. More information about this massive expansion will be revealed in the future.”
We don’t know much about the expansion, but it seems like it will be similar in scope to Monster Hunter World’s Iceborne expansion, which added new areas, new Monsters, and new tools to use in the fight.
We’re incredibly excited to have another reason to hop back into Monster hunter rise and look forward to learning more about the expansion soon. Next Summer can’t come soon enough.
