For those that are fans of the first game, the combat will definitely resonate as seen in the new story trailer, though it looks like the studio is definitely upping the angst ante when it comes to Nioh’s highly anticipated prequel.

“Master the lethal arts of the samurai as a mysterious half-human, half-supernatural Yokai warrior, in this challenging action RPG sequel,” boasts the game’s description. “Explore violent Sengoku-era Japan and the deadly Dark Realm, both plagued with grotesque, merciless demons.”

We’re excited to see where this series goes because the first one was pure magic. From the incredibly satisfying combat to the amazing storyline – everything about Nioh was a perfect blend to draw gamers in and looks like the sequel is going to have what it takes to continue on that same path of enjoyment.
