Nintendo has announced their plans to release a special Splatoon 2 Starter Edition bundle for the Nintendo Switch. The bundle includes a copy of Splatoon 2, along with a strategy guide and two sheets of exclusive stickers. The Splatoon 2 Starter Edition will launch on March 16 and sells for a retail price of $59.99. The bundle costs the same as the base game alone, making this bundle a great value for anyone looking to pick up Splatoon 2 for the first time.
In today’s announcement, Nintendo also revealed two new amiibo coming later this year for Splatoon 2. The amiibo will be for Pearl and Marina, two popular new characters who comprise the talented in-game pop group “Off the Hook”. Fans will also recognize this hit music duo as the broadcasters of the Inkopolis News and Splatfest events in Splatoon 2.
The Pearl and Marina amiibo figures will release as an exclusive two-pack set later this year for $24.99. No release date has been announced for these amiibo figures just yet, as they are separate from the Starter Edition bundle.
