As we get closer to the release date of Mortal Kombat 1, NetherRealm Studios has announced that Megan Fox will be voicing Nitara, a vampire from Outworld.
The announcement comes from the official Mortal Kombat YouTube channel, where the studio shared an interview with Fox and some shots of her character in action. In the video, Fox describes her character as “a type of vampire creature; she’s evil, but she’s also good.”
Based on the trailer, Nitara’s wings won’t be just for show. Many of her moves shown off in the trailer above involve her knocking into the air while performing a vicious series of attacks with her teeth and claws.
Nitara is just one of many playable characters in Mortal Kombat 1. NetherRealm Studios has confirmed that you can play as other characters from various IPs, including Homelander, voiced by Antony Star, Omi-Man, voiced by J.K. Simmons, and Peacemaker. All three of these characters will be included in the first Kombat Pack.
Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled to release later this month, on September 14. It’ll be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. For more Mortal Komat 1 content, check out our Summer Game Fest hands-on preview.
