It’s been a relatively slow news day, but that’s going to change in a few hours. Capcom is hosting an E3-style showcase event of its own later today, focused entirely on what’s next in Resident Evil. We’ve covered this event already, but now’s a good time to send out a PSA so nobody interested forgets, as well as a reminder of where to watch. The Resident Evil Showcase will kick off at 2:00 PM PST, or 5:00 PM ET.
How to watch the Resident Evil Showcase
If you take a look at the Twitter broadcast page for the event, it displays a start time of 4:30, however. So it may be a good idea to tune in that half hour early just to see if anything is happening. The event will be hosted by Brittney Brombacher, one of the personalities from What’s Good Games. The marquee event will of course be the upcoming Resident Evil Village, the follow-up to 2017’s Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. We’ll see a new trailer and gameplay for the first time.
Don’t miss the Resident Evil Showcase on January 21st at 10:00 PM GMT! Tune in for a first look at new Resident Evil Village footage, including a new trailer, first-ever gameplay, and lots more Resident Evil news!

Following that, apparently the Resident Evil Showcase will include “more” Resident Evil news. The floor’s pretty open for new Resident Evil news could be. The only project we know about currently is Village, and eyes in particular on Capcom’s new team behind last year’s Resident Evil 3 remake. The longstanding rumor has been a Resident Evil 4 remake, from that same team. We may not get an answer to that being real either way, but that’ll be the rumor on folks’ minds going in.
To watch the event, all you need to do is hop over to the official Resident Evil Twitter feed, where a broadcast page is already up and running. A live broadcast is also up on the official Resident Evil YouTube channel, if you prefer that medium. If Twitch is your thing, you can check out the CapcomUSA account, which is weird since there’s also an official Resident Evil Twitch. If you have a preference, Capcom has you covered.
