The Wii U is in dire need of something third-party exclusive, especially with the defection of both Rayman Legends and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge to other consoles. Well, relax, system owners, you’ve got some good news coming your way.
According to a report from Nintendo Insider, the Wii U version of Capcom’s forthcoming Resident Evil Revelations will utilize being able to play directly on the GamePad – a feature that a lot of games boast these days. This will allow you to keep playing even when someone’s watching the TV that the system’s hooked up to. In addition, when you are playing it on the TV, you’ll have a full inventory management screen to tinker with on the GamePad, as well as using the Wii U Pro Controller.
The Official Nintendo Magazine spoke with the game’s producer, Tsukasa Takenaka, who stated, “There’s a joke going around in Japan at the moment about using Off TV Play to play your Wii U games on the Bullet Train, as long as you get on the seats with a power outlet, so we wanted to make sure Bullet Train play was possible with Revelations.”
Because, for some people, a 3DS just isn’t enough.
Resident Evil Revelations will release this May for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.
