Sea of Thieves has continued to grow since the game’s initial release earlier this year and Rare continues to work hard to honor their commitment to keep the game growing throughout the year. Earlier today, during Xbox Wire, Rare announced that the second major free content update for the game will be available at the end of the month, and that with it will come new player ships, skeleton ships, and more.
The new content update, called Cursed Sails, is set to release at the end of the month on July 31. This update will introduce a few big things that players will be excited for, including a brand new three-person ship that replaces the three-person Galleon that has been in the game since launch. The new ship, the Brigantine, will allow three players to work together in an environment that works better than the Galleon does with three people. On top of this, players will also apparently be able to form Alliances with others to take on even bigger challenges that offer greater rewards.
On top of the new ship, the update will also bring in a special time-limited campaign that offers players a series of unique rewards as they take on skeleton ships that are terrorizing outposts around the world. Meet up, form Alliances, and take on these deadly new enemies as you try to figure out what is causing the skeleton scourge.
We’ll be sure to update the site with any additional information that becomes available for the new Cursed Sails update, so make sure to stay tuned for more strategy, information, and all the news you need for Sea of Thieves and all of its updates.
