During the PlayStation Showcase on September 9, new gameplay footage of Ghostwire: Tokyo from developer Tango Gameworks was shown. This is the most we’ve seen of Ghostwire Tokyo since it was first announced back at E3 2019 and so far… it looks pretty good!
Sony Shares Exciting New Gameplay Footage of Ghostwire: Tokyo
If you’ve been eagerly awaiting new information about Ghostwire: Tokyo, you’re in luck as a closer look at gameplay was shown today during the PlayStation Showcase. While there’s still a lot we don’t know about Ghostwire: Tokyo, we do know that it’s looking pretty rad so far.
Gameplay seems to center around using supernatural abilities to combat paranormal entities with unique abilities of their own. We see quite a bit of this in the new gameplay trailer, often from a first-person perspective.
Shooting beams of light from your hands in karate-esque ways looks like extremely fun. We also appreciated the doses of humor embedded in the trailer like when a headless ghost launches into a drop-kick.

It’s somewhat surprising to hear that Ghostwire: Tokyo is set to release as early as Spring 2022, though we’ve still yet to receive an official release date and many games have endured delays so we may see the game delayed if it’s not ready by Spring 2022.
