In an announcement from EA ahead of Star Wars Day on May 4, it was revealed that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is getting a free next-gen update. As of right now, there’s no set release date for this update, though EA mentions that it’s coming later this summer.
And, if you don’t own a copy of the game just yet, there’s a sale taking place where you can buy the game for up to 70% off the Standard and Deluxe Editions.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is Getting a Free Next-Gen Update
Good news for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners as EA recently confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is getting a free next-gen update. The update will be “a free cross-generation upgrade to current owners” and features several technical improvements implemented with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in mind.
EA mentions that more details will be out soon, which should include a release date for the update. Currently, EA says it’s coming this summer. If you don’t own the game, there’s a sale happening from April 28 to May 12 where you can get the Standard and Deluxe Editions of the game for up to 70% off.
The sale includes copies of the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Origin, and Steam.
“Coming this summer, we’re excited to announce the next-gen release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, bringing a number of technical improvements to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console versions of the game.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order isn’t the only Star Wars game on sale ahead of Star Wars Day on May 4. Scrolling through EA’s post, they mention that you can get, “Three critically acclaimed games for up to 50% off on Xbox and Origin with the EA Star Wars Triple Bundle!”
The bundle includes Star Wars: Squadrons, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Deluxe Edition, and Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition. If you need time to think things over before making a purchase, the offer will be available from April 30 to May 11.
