Stardew Valley Multiplayer Update Gets PC Release Date

Manage your farm and work alongside your friends in Stardew Valley this August.

Stardew Valley publisher Chucklefish announced today that multiplayer support for the charming farm management sim is just around the corner. The long-awaited Multiplayer Update for Stardew Valley will arrive for PC, Mac, and Linux on August 1, 2018.

The Stardew Valley Multiplayer Update allows up to three friends to join one a host player as either a farmhand or fellow farmer for some friendly co-op farming. Friends can also get married to one another in-game, which has been a highly requested feature for multiplayer. Where there’s marriage, there’s also divorce. Multiplayer unlocks all sorts of possibilities that were limited only to NPCs before. 

The Stardew Valley Multiplayer Update was initially available for public beta testing on Steam earlier this year, and it appears that most of the main features of the update will remain intact. The Multiplayer Update will be available via Steam, GOG, and Humble Bundle on August 1. The Multiplayer Update for the console versions of Stardew Valley is still being worked on, according to the game’s developer and creator, Eric Barone.
