Previously, the attraction was supposed to open in 2020 but the COVID-19 pandemic set things back a bit.

It may continue to set things back in terms of how many visitors will have the opportunity to experience the attraction after it opens in February as well.

Super Nintendo World Will Open in February

It’s official, Super Nintendo World is complete and on course to open on February 4, 2021 according to an announcement from Universal Studios Japan.

The newly shared images of Super Nintendo World along with a promotional trailer have all been great at getting gamers hyped for the attraction.

However, there are some valid concerns in regards to when people outside Japan will actually be able to visit Super Nintendo World.

Right now, Japan has a travel ban that restricts entry from countries including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy to name just a few.

With that, it’ll be difficult to make the trip to Osaka, Japan where the attraction is located to experience it firsthand.

It’s possible that between now and February, Japan will loosen its travel restrictions and will allow more countries to fly in and visit.

It’s hard to see that happening as early as February, but edging closer to Summer 2021, that seems more plausible.

We’ll obviously have to wait and see, but either way Super Nintendo World is ready to go and will be open to the public on February 4, 2021.

We can’t wait to hear more about what the Super Nintendo World experience is like as residents of Japan begin to visit the attraction.

From everything we’ve seen so far, Super Nintendo World looks like an absolute blast.
