Outlast is one of those rare survival horror games that creates unrelenting tension. Unable to fight back against enemies in Mount Massive Asylum, your main goal is to outrun and hide in the hope of making it through the night. However, that’s easier said than done.

Luckily, we won’t have to wait long to experience this breathtaking experience. The developers at Red Barrels have announced that the game will release on September 4th on PC for $19.99. There’s no word yet on a console release, but hopefully it’ll be confirmed soon.
