The Syberia series is a staple when it comes to adventure games, and last month Nintendo Switch fans got their first taste of Benoit Sokal’s hit adventure game series when the first Syberia debuted on the Nintendo Switch. Now, to celebrate the series even more, Microïds is bringing the second game to Nintendo’s portable home console, and fans can pick it up starting as early as tomorrow, November 30.
For players who haven’t ever played the Syberia series, the game follows a young American lawyer named Kate Walker, who is tasked by her firm to purchase a toy factory in the village of Valadilène. Along her journey she runs into several obstacles, and must eventually find and convince a man named Hans Voralberg to sell the factory.
Syberia 2 picks up after the events of the first game, and in it players will once more resume the role of Kate Walker. Having completed her missions to buy the toy factory in the first game, Kate decides to join Hans and her automaton companion—Oscar—on a journey to find the last mammoths in Syberia. To help celebrate the launch of the game on the Nintendo Switch, Microïds has released a special launch trailer, which you can check out below.
The Nintendo Switch version of Syberia 2 was developed by Koalab Studios, and will be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop starting tomorrow, November 30, 2017. The game will be available in both physical and digital formats in Europe, however US players will only have the option of purchasing the digital version of the game.
