July is going to be a big month for Warhammer fans on the Xbox One. For the past several months, PC players have had a chance to dive into Fatshark’s hit sequel, Vermintide 2. Now, though, Xbox fans can finally hop in and start their journey to find and collect all of the loot once the game drops on July 11.
Players can pick up the Premium Edition of Vermintide 2 right now on the Xbox One, giving them access to the following items:
- Sigmar Keep Statue
- Helmgart Heraldry Themed Skins
- Exclusive Pre-order Portrait Frame
- Premium Edition Portrait Frame
- 6 Exclusive Heroic Deeds
On top of the game’s final release on Xbox One in July, players can also dive into the Open Beta right now. To get started, head to the Xbox Store on your Xbox One and look up Warhammer: Vermintide 2. Once here, you should see an option to download the open beta and start playing.
It’s really nice to see Fatshark making the jump to Xbox One with Vermintide 2. Up until now the game has only been available on the PC through Steam. Now, though, console fans will get their first taste of the brutal adventure game on the Xbox One. There’s still no news of whether or not we can expect to see Vermintide 2 make its way to the PlayStation 4, but the jump to Xbox One does bode well for console players in the future.
Fatshark’s original game, Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide did very well on the Xbox One, so it was only a matter of time until they ported the game over to Microsoft’s console. Of course, only time will tell how things play out as far as the updates to the game go.
