As soon as Reverse: 1999 drains the dwindling hope for you, there remain rewards for your hard achievements down the dimly lit hallway. Here we are again to answer the tricky Trial Riddles hidden throughout Chapter 3.
All Chapter 3 Trial Answers Listed in Reverse: 1999
Trials are similar in style to the notification pop-ups that will occasionally halt players in their journey through the story to fill them in on side character stories or hidden lore. They are indicated by the golden icon that can be spotted on the map whenever a player is investigating a stage within a chapter.
Luckily, they are all recorded here for your convenience. Which chapter can you find them in?
3-5 The Nursery Rhyme That Doesn’t Rhyme
You need a small acorn to learn everything about the tree with a name.
Submit the Tiny Acorn from answering the 3-15 Trial.
3-7 Fish and Chips in the Kitchen
The staff canteen is the best choice for filling the belly. Now you only need a bit more information to reach the fish and chips.
Input within the first box entry, Basket. And within the second box entry, Cabinet.
3-12 Plan of Escape Route
This could be a desperate attempt. You must take it seriously.
In this puzzle, the player is expected to complete a loop of pathways that will interconnect all of the points that you see presented on the current map. There are no tricks involved other than the old trial and error. For the solution, click through the images above and scroll to the second one.
3-15 Unexpected audience
George the Old is already 700 years old. Which animals in the tree hole listened to that song with you?
Input within the box entry, Red squirrels and woodpeckers.
How to Get Even More Clear Drops
With the story beginning to wrap up, the closer we get to the end, you will find that your resources for gathering Clear Drops are getting smaller and smaller. However, if you have not discovered it before, here are other routes you can take to gather more Clear Drops from the current version of Reverse: 1999.
Tutorial Stages
You may have begun them already, but there are several more where that came from. Reverse: 1999 will start the player on the basics of battle, but there’s much more to learn in terms of the style of skills that Arcanists can use, debuff and support abilities, and the importance of certain equipment to your team.
By entering any chapter, players can discover a large book of tutorials in the upper right-hand corner. Each section will have two to three classes to teach you about the game’s mechanics. By completing them, players will be able to gain more knowledge about the game, and Clear Drops for their future pulls. If there is ever a moment when you are stuck, there is a help button that will appear on the right of the screen above your characters and just below the auto-battle and pause controls.
Hard Mode Engaged
Just as clearing the original stages in each chapter will grant you Clear Drops, so too will the Hard mode in the occasional stage. You can see which stage will have a Hard mode as indicated by the additional stars that you can see on the trail just at the bottom of the screen in each chapter. Upon clearing it the first time, players will get 60 Clear Drops for each Hard Mode stage they manage to clear.
The accumulated number of stars they gather will add up on another page called Traces. Traces can be found in the upper-righthand corner of the screen whenever players are in the chapter sections of the game. It collects the amount of clears players accumulated and will give out milestone rewards for making it past a certain amount.
By advancing through the story, players will be able to unlock more and more content to keep them busy between game updates. While the rewards may dwindle aside from the weekly challenge in the Artificial Somnambulism, there is also the task and challenge of attempting to perfect every stage in the game thus far.
