Which legendary Pokemon are returning in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk? The following list includes all the legendary Pokemon you’ll be able to find and catch in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s new DLC content.
Legendary Pokemon Returning in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk
After completing The Indigo Disk DLC, you’ll unlock the post-game NPC, Snacksworth. When you complete BP quests, Snacksworth will reward you with a snack for a random legendary Pokemon from the list below. Once you have the snack, that legendary Pokemon will become a static, shiny-locked encounter in your game.
The following legendary Pokemon are returning to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in the Indigo Disk DLC expansion, listed in Pokedex order:

Note that Calyrex is not catchable in-game and must be transferred from Pokemon HOME |
Not every legendary is returning to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC as catchable Pokemon, but most can now be transferred into the game via Pokemon HOME. If you want every obtainable legendary Pokemon in your game, you will need to do a fair amount of transferring, as many of them are not catchable in either version of the game.
New Legendaries in the Indigo Disk DLC
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC brings with it a new turtle-like legendary Pokemon by the name of Terapogos. It serves as the mascot of the new DLC and players will encounter it as they progress through The Indigo Disk’s story. Terapogos has two forms it shifts between: a normal form outside of battle, and a unique terastalized form during battle.
The Indigo Disk also introduces four new paradox legendaries in the form of Raging Bolt, Gouging Fire, Iron Crown, and Iron Boulder. While Iron Crown and Iron Boulder are exclusive to Pokemon Violet, Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire are exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet. It’s worth noting that the previous paradox legendaries made available through Tera Raid events, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, are still not catchable in-game.

You also won’t see any of Pokemon Sun and Moon’s Ultra Beasts returning in The Indigo Disk. Their status as legendary Pokemon is up for debate, but previously they have often been grouped with legendary Pokemon. Similarly, Sun and Moon’s Guardian Deities are not currently obtainable in any way.
Conspicuously, the only box legendaries that are currently unobtainable in Scarlet and Violet are the ones from Pokemon X and Y, Yveltal and Xerneas. Perhaps we have a trip to Kalos coming up in the near future, but for now, we’ll have to make do without them.
There’s more to The Indigo Disk than its amazing selection of returning legendary Pokemon. Check out our Indigo Disk impressions to learn more about what to expect.
