It wouldn’t be surprising if you forgot that fishing was a thing in Genshin Impact because we certainly did. Originally made a function when Inazuma was released, you could then go around different regions to fish at spots in hops to catch decorations for your teapot or supplies for your ever-dwindling cooking recipes. But these spots don’t just pop up on your map, so here’s a list of where they are and what fish you can find at each one!

Fishing Spot 1: Narukami
Each of the Inazuma islands has two fishing spots for a total of ten fishing spots to find. Each will have its own different type of fish that spawn throughout the day and night. The first of these spots that you are likely to run into first is Narukami Island. Right in the nook of Ritou’s port, there is the first pool of water where you can begin your fishing journey. No, you can’t fish anywhere, but at least it prevents you from prompting a fishing menu every time you accidentally press the wrong button when facing a pool of water.

Fishing Spot 2: Narukami
The second spot on Narukami Island isn’t actually on Narukami Island. Off the mainland, it’ll actually be on the small space fo land where the Talent Domain is. Unreachable by swimming, unless you’re very determined, there is a Waverider Waypoint you can use on Amakane Island to help get you there quickly. Once the Domain is unlocked, you can use this to teleport to the fishing spot quickly so you can begin gathering the rest of the fish you’ll need.

Fishing Spot 3: Kannazuka
Although the fishing spots are limited to two an island, Kannazuka and Yashiori Islands are considered to be one whole island since they are connected. It doesn’t mean that the first fishing spot is going to be easy to get to, but it is an incredibly valuable one. Looked to have been attacked by the Raiden herself, you’ll need to get yourself a Waverider in order to get to the ship wreckage just south of the Kujou Encampment. There’s a Waverider Waypoint off the little coast of Tatarasuna you can use to spawn a boat quickly whenever you need to get to this spot, but it’s a bit trickier than others. The fish here won’t respawn as quickly as the others, you may need to come back every two to three days before gathering all the ones that you’ll eventually need to turn in to the Fishing Association or to decorate your teapot with.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the enemies surrounding that area as well. There’s an Electro Abyss Mage and two Large Cryo Slimes as well as two accompanying small Cryo Slimes that are sure to give you a tough time if you go in unprepared. The fish may scatter during the skirmish but should return in a few minutes after the environment cools down.

Fishing Spot 4: Kannazuka
The other spot on Kannazuka is actually in the subsection between Kannazuka and Yashiori. Along the beach, you’re going to head to the other shipwreck that’s surrounded by Nobushi enemies. Apparently fish like to follow where the goods have dropped into the water. While there are not especially exclusive fish here, it’s still an important place to drop by to collect some of the larger ones.

Fishing Spot 5: Watatsumi
The next area is going to be Watatsumi Island where the Sangonomiya Shrine is located. You would think that this place would be chock full of fish, but it carries the standard rule that only two fishing spots are here. But at least they are much easier to find! The first one is going to be in the area referred to as the Suigetsu Pool. The teleport there is a one-time Domain that serves as a pretty good waypoint for you from then on. Once you use the Electrogana to zap yourself out of the ruined structure, you head towards the Waverider Waypoint and the first fishing spot will just be off the coast where the rocks are located.

Fishing Spot 6: Watatsumi
The second spot on Watatsumi is going to be just north of Sangonomiya Shrine. The easiest way to get to it will be through the waypoint that’s located there as well, then it’s as simple as flying down to the patch of sandy beaches where you can enjoy your fishing journey surrounded by a beautiful mystical landscape.

Fishing Spot 7 and 8: Seirei
The next two fishing spots are actually incredibly easy to get to as well as fish at daily since they are located right across the pond from one another. It’s not as if there are not plenty of fishing spots where you’d be able to place these, but it makes for easy traveling for us fishers in Genshin Impact. They both have their own sets of fish that differ slightly from one another and you may want to watch out for the enemies since there will be both Fatui as well as machines here that will eagerly attack you while you’re trying to enjoy your outing.
The first of these spots are going to be on the left in the picture depicted above. Probably the most peaceful of the two, it’s where you can find the Koi fish which are very aesthetically pleasing for the teapot and important to turn in to the Fishing Commissioner for some hefty prizes. On the western side of the islands where the second fishing spot will actually spawn different fish that are no less important. Nearby is going to be a Fatui member, the Mirror Maiden and just south of the fishing spot are going to be Ruin Sentinels. The latter of these aren’t going to be too in your way, but going back and forth between the two fishing spots, the Mirror Maiden is easier to take out so she doesn’t scare away the fish.

Fishing Spot 9: Tsurumi
Tsurumi Island makes for a difficult place to fish at, given that a lot of is locked for the time being behind story quests but the first of these fishing spots is going to be the easier one to get to. Near the Chirai Shrine is going to be a fishing spot just to the northwest of it. A waypoint is just a few feet from where the fishing spot is and you can avoid any story quests and enemies by cruising by there, getting your fish without a hitch.

Fishing Spot 10: Tsurumi
The final spot where you can catch some gnarly fish is actually hidden behind a quest. Before you can find the spot, you need to complete the quests that are on Tsurumi Island. For those of you that have completed Inazuma and moved on, this fishing spot will likely already be on your map. For those who either forgot, much like I did, or haven’t gotten to it yet, you’ll need to trigger and finish Ipe’s Ghost Request before being able to actually fish here.

Enkanomiya
Bet you wouldn’t have guessed it but there are even a couple of fishing spots down in Enkanomiya as well. Luckily, you won’t have to worry about many, just the three of them and they’ll look pretty nice in your teapot since the ones that can be found down there are going to be reflective of the types of creatures you see in Enkanomiya: Rays.
Fishing Spot 1: The Serpent’s Bowels
Just after you pass through the large pool of water at the Sankanomiya Shrine or teleport to the first waypoint in Enkanomiya, there’s going to be your first interaction with the creatures of the deep. A pool of water awaits your large fall as well as a fishing spot that’s easy to get to.

Fishing Spot 2 and 3: The Serpent’s Heart
Much like the ones on Seirei Island, these fishing spots should be pretty easy to run into once you’ve explored the island south of Dainichi Mikoshi, The Serpent’s Heart. Both can be found in some pretty funky placements as they aren’t immediately on the surface but rather found in the depths of the shrines once you begin your exploration. They are close together though so it’s as simple as turning a few corners and collecting the rest of the creatures for your teapot journey. Or if you find your low on fish, can turn these beautiful creatures into some scrumptious dishes to buff or feed your team later!
