Being the Bethesda game that it is, Starfield features a full main campaign alongside more than enough side content to sink your teeth into. If you’re willing to put in the time and hunt for all the side content in the game, you could be playing for dozens more hours than you normally would. If you’re the type of person to play just the main story content though, you may be wondering how much content you’ll be working through. Here are all the main missions you can come across in Starfield.
Every Main Mission You Need to Complete to Finish Starfield
In total, there are 19 main missions that you must complete to finish Starfield. These range from being very short to taking up more than an hour per mission. The missions are as follows:
- One Small Step
- The Old Neighborhood
- Back to Vectera
- The Empty Nest
- Job Gone Wrong
- Into the Unknown
- Power From Beyond
- All That Money Can Buy
- Further Into the Unknown
- Short Sighted
- No Sudden Moves
- High Price to Pay
- Unity
- In Their Footsteps
- Unearthed
- Final Glimpses
- Entangled
- Revelation
- One Giant Leap
There are a few important things to note with this list. First of all, some of these main missions are grouped and can be completed in any order. Completing that group will continue your progress toward the next main mission. The other important note has to do with the Power From Beyond mission near the halfway point of the game. This mission comes up later on with different iterations that make more sense after you’ve finished it, but you only need to finish the first to progress the main campaign.

How Long Does the Main Campaign of Starfield Take to Beat?
If you’re looking to get to the end, you can expect the main campaign of Starfield to take anywhere between 25-30 hours to complete. If you’re doing a bunch of side content, you can expect this to jump accordingly. For example, I did a playthrough where I dabbled in a good portion of the side content and ended at about 35 hours. Needless to say, you shouldn’t be disappointed.
