Destiny 2’s 21st Season – Season of the Deep, brings with it three new pieces of Exotic armor – one for each class. Let’s take a look at what they are, what they do, and how to get them (as well as if they’re any good).
Destiny 2 Season of the Deep’s New Exotic Armor
Arbor Warden
Let’s start with Titans (they did win the Guardian Games this year, after all). They, unfortunately for me as a Titan main, came out on bottom with this new armor with Arbor Warden. This chest piece grants the ability to throw a grenade that creates a barricade on impact after using your class ability.
This is a weird Exotic, to be sure. Creating ranged barricades is never something I felt the need to do as a Titan and now that I can it’s uh.. fine, I think? It’s nice that it synergizes with things like Void overshields or Strand tangles, but it’s still a relatively niche piece.

Triton Vice
Alright Hunters, you’re up. The Triton Vice gauntlets are asking you, very loudly, to use a Glaive. They increase just about every Glaive stat when surrounded and using a Glaive matching your Subclass element, going so far as to create explosions on melee final blows if you do.
This is sort of like Hunters’ answer to Titans using Synthoceps with a Glaive, only with more bonuses. The downside is the melee damage increase only applies to Glaives, but the rest of the buffs seem pretty juicy.
Cenotaph Mask
Finally we have the best looking new Exotic (fight me): the Cenotaph Mask for Warlocks. This is a pretty whacky support Exotic that reloads Trace Rifles and marks priority targets by damaging bosses using a Trace Rifle matching your Subclass. When allies get the final blow on a marked target, they get a Heavy ammo drop.
This is a complicated Exotic with a somewhat niche use-case. If you’re running Divinity and Well as a Solar Warlock it makes a lot of sense. “Bosses,” in this case, count as Champions, vehicles, and Minibosses (orange bars). It outpaces ammo regeneration if you tap the trigger on most Trace Rifles, and Heavy Ammo drops are a must-have for any Raid or Dungeon boss. If you want to be an invaluable asset to the team, here’s your chance.
How to Get the New Exotic Armor in Season of the Deep
To get any of these pieces, I recommend running solo Legendary Lost Sectors or the Vex Strike Force Event on Neomuna to guarantee Exotic drops you don’t already have. Exotic drops themselves aren’t guaranteed, but whenever you do get an Exotic drop from one of these activities, you’re going to get one not in your collections. It’s the fastest way to target-farm these, and any other, Exotics.
