With a new Pokemon expansion comes new Pokemon, just like prior Pokemon games. Here’s all of the new Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet the Teal Mask.
All New Pokemon Added in Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask DLC
The land of Kitakami in The Teal Mask only boasts seven new Pokemon. All but one of these Pokemon were officially revealed by official Pokemon sources leading up to The Teal Mask’s release.
These seven new Pokemon are:
- Dipplin.
- Poltchageist.
- Sinistcha.
- Okidogi.
- Munkidori.
- Fezandipiti.
- Ogerpon.
In addition to these seven new Pokemon, there is one new form of an older Pokemon: Ursaluna Bloodmoon Form. Even if counting this form change as an entirely new Pokemon, that still leaves less than 10 new Pokemon in the Teal Mask DLC.
How Many Pokemon Are in the Kitakami Pokédex in Pokemon The Teal Mask?
There are 200 Pokemon in the Kitakami Pokedex. And 100 of these are in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet base game, so if you’ve got 100% completion in the Paldea Pokedex, you’ll already have half of the Kitakami Pokedex filled out.
All Returning Pokemon Added in Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask DLC
In total, there are 100 new Pokemon in the Teal Mask DLC. Seven are brand new to the franchise, and 93 are returning from previous games that were not previously available in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet base games. Of the 93 returning Pokemon, six are version exclusives.

Notable Pokemon in The Teal Mask DLC
While there are many new Pokemon to choose from, a few from the DLC stand out from the others. Here are some noteworthy Pokemon from the DLC you should look out for.
- Ogerpon.
- Bloodmoon Ursaluna.
- Sinistcha.
- Politoed.
These Pokemon have great stats, solid movesets, and tend to poll pretty well in tier lists. Ogerpon has a variable moveset depending on what mask it holds, and Bloodmoon Ursaluna is an absolute powerhouse. Sinistcha’s Hospitality ability can heal a teammate by 25% in a 2v2 battle, turning the tides out of nowhere. And Politoed is an infamous rain-setting Pokemon, thanks to its ability Drizzle.
Needless to say, there are far more returning older Pokemon that can be found across Kitakami compared to the seven new Pokemon in The Teal Mask.
