Are Dry Poffins in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? – Answered

Bring back the Poffin minigame!

If you have Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC, The Teal Mask, you have the opportunity to catch some familiar faces. And one of the best, most coveted faces happens to be Feebas and its evolution, Milotic. But do you still need to improve your Feebas’ beauty to evolve it? Are there even Dry Poffins in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Do You Need Dry Poffins in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

If you played Diamond and Pearl, you likely recall just how hard it was to catch Feebas and evolve it into Milotic. That’s because Feebas is an exceptionally rare Pokemon… who also happens to be pretty ugly. And that’s not just my opinion! It’s literally its Pokedex entry.

To evolve Feebas in earlier games, like Diamond, you needed to increase Feebas’ beauty stat by using Dry Poffins. But Dry Poffins don’t exist in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. There aren’t even normal Poffins.

How to Evolve Feebas in Pokemon Scarlet and Pearl

Because there are no Dry Poffins in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you might be wondering how Feebas evolves. To do so, all you need to do is have your Feebas hold a Prism Scale. Then, trade that Feebas to another person. Once it arrives in its new home, it will evolve into Milotic.

If you don’t have a friend who can touch trade or perhaps give you a brand new Feebas or Milotic, don’t worry. There are community-made trade codes that can help you out.

But if you’re looking for a Prism Scale, you just need to go to the east side of Fellhorn Gorge. There, you’ll find the Prism Scale on the shore of one of the small lakes. The second Prism Scale can be earned as a reward for completing your Katakami Pokedex once you hit 140 entries.

Of course, to evolve Feebas, you’ll need to find a Feebas first. And these slippery fish have found quite a nice nook to hide in.
