With Wyll and Mizora still alive by the time you reach Act 3 in Baldur’s Gate 3, you will have to decide whether the party saves Wyll or his father, Duke Ravengard. As always, the decision isn’t an easy one and it can have major implications down the line. I’m here to give you a full rundown on which Ravengard should be saved in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Should You Save Wyll or His Father in BG3?
Regardless of the contract, you should save Wyll’s father in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you need to condemn Wyll to save The Duke, then having him sign the contract is your best option. However, saving Duke Ravengard and destroying Wyll’s contract doesn’t have to be entirely separate. But it will be far more difficult to find his father without signing the contract with Mizora.
For that reason, I still suggest having Wyll sign the contract with Mizora. Not only will this almost guarantee that you can save Duke Ravengard, but it will also allow Wyll to have peace of mind, despite the eternal torment that awaits him.

What Happens if You Save Wyll in BG3?
If you forsake Duke Ravengard, then Wyll will hold that over his own conscience for the remainder of the campaign, unless you find another way to his Father. And if Duke Ravengard does end up dead, then Baldur’s Gate will end up in a much worse position. As the game ends, The Duke is a key player in rebuilding the chaos.
What Happens if You Save Duke Ravengard in BG3?
In terms of endings, Duke Ravengard is far more important to the fate of Baldur’s Gate than Wyll. Saving him first will ensure a happier outcome overall. Even if Wyll ends up condemned, he will ultimately feel better about the decision. If you don’t have Wyll as a recurring party member, this is what I would opt for.
