John Titor isn’t the strongest in Reverse: 1999, but she does have a very flexible and powerful Ultimate skill that makes this programmer viable in most team comps. If you want to use John Titor effectively, here’s her best build in Reverse: 1999.

Is John Titor Good in Reverse: 1999?

Aside from her self-sustainability and Ultimate, John Titor lags behind most higher-tiered characters in Reverse: 1999. With her Ultimate, she can dispel Stats Up, Pos Status, and Counter on all enemies, then purify Stats Down, Neg Status, Control, and cast a Shield for three rounds on teammates. No other support character in the game has an Ultimate with this much versatility, but unfortunately, this is John Titor’s only advantage over others.

Her damage won’t be good in the late game, and her reliance on Ultimate spamming makes John Titor aggressively Moxie-dependent. That said, John Titor is an Intellect Afflatus, meaning she could have a bit of use against Genesis Afflatus enemies.

Best John Titor Build in Reverse: 1999

The best build for John Titor will require equipping either the His Bounden Duty or Decode Psychubes to amplify her damage output and beef up her attributes.

At max cap, His Bounden Duty can increase John Titor’s damage bonus by 12% and provide a passive that heals her after defeating an enemy. Decode is geared more toward sustainability, giving John Titor a passive that reduces damage taken after being hit with an Ultimate skill.

Besides these Psychubes, unlock her Portrays and Insight levels to reach her full potential. In addition, don’t forget to optimize the Resonance for John Titor to improve her raw stats.

Best John Titor Team Comps in Reverse: 1999

Since John Titor depends on building Moxie, a team comp of characters who don’t rely on Ultimate spamming or going every turn will work best with the programmer.

For instance, Pickles complements John Titor since he can gain Moxie for not taking action; he can also buff attacks for all allies and deal fantastic damage as a second support. Also, consider pairing John Titor with burst damage dealers like Regulus, Lilya, Eagle, and Charlie.

While she isn’t as favorable as other characters, John Titor has her uses and could be the character you need as a supporter to defeat a troublesome boss.
