Every Call of Duty has a weapon like the M4 that is well-rounded for early levels, and in Modern Warfare 3, that assault rifle is the MTZ-556. As one of the earliest unlocks in the class, it’s important to have a good loadout, and I’m here to help you piece it together.
Best Attachments for the MTZ-556 in MW3
The goal of the MTZ in Modern Warfare 3 is to stabilize the recoil and ensure that there is enough range on the weapon. With some changes in how stats are distributed, I didn’t put too much of a focus on mobility attachments. Instead, I just used pieces that were low on negatives. After all, the MTZ already has plenty of base control.
Best MTZ-556 Loadout Attachments in MW3:
- Barrel: MTZ Clinch Pro Barrel
- Muzzle: L4R Flash Hider or the Colossus Suppressor
- Underbarrel: Kimura RYN-03 Vertical Grip
- Optic: MK. 23 Reflector
- Rear Grip: Bruen TR-24 Assault Grip or the Rival Sub Grip
The MTZ Clinch barrel, the L4R Flash Hider, and the Kimura underbarrel will all help the MTZ with recoil control. As for range, the barrel adds an extension as well as a boost to the overall bullet velocity. If you choose to use a suppressor, you lose a bit of range, but you can keep your shots off the mini-map.
Then there are two attachment slots left that I leave for support. The MK. 23 Reflector can be swapped out for any other small 1x optic. In MW3, these optics don’t hurt ADS speed at all, so go wild with better sights. I also chose to go with the assault rear grip, but the Rival Sub is great for additional mobility.
