When Al Mazrah dropped, the VLK 4.0x was the most popular scope for any battle rifle, assault rifle, or light machine gun in the game. Submachine guns and snipers aren’t included because they always run the same optics regardless of the game or the meta changes. The importance of optics really sticks out when we’re building a loadout for one of the three main ranged options.
At this point in the meta, the best optic to use is the Aim OP-V4 which is earned by leveling up the latest submachine gun, the BAS-P. It appears like a smaller scope on the surface, but it’s really a reflex sight with a longer lens and a super clear reticle. But it’s not just for the reticle that we use the Aim OP-V4.

Visual recoil has become one of the more difficult aspects of weapons in Warzone 2 and reflex sights happen to be one of the easiest optics to deal with. That means you can essentially use any optic you prefer, including the Cronen Mini Pro with the blue dot. With that in mind, the Aim OP-V4 and the Cronen Mini Pro have become the best options for nearly every gun in Warzone 2 aside from snipers.
The Schlager 3.4x optic has been a contender to the reflex sights due to the zoom it provides, but the dynamic of Al Mazrah has ensured that ranged fights aren’t as prevalent in Warzone 2. As long as you can control recoil at medium range and see your target, your optic is good to go.
