Best Places to Land in Blackout

There are a multitude of different places you can land in Blackout if you’re looking for gear, but if you really want to get out and ahead of the pack, then finding out the best places to land is going to be key to your success and survival. We’ve outlined some of our favorite spots to land below, so let’s dive right in.

Nuketown Island

As one of the most iconic locations in Black Ops history, you can’t be all that surprised to see Nuketown Island on our list of the best places to land. Aside from being an iconic location, though, the island itself is full of great loot—all of which can be found strewn throughout several bunkers situated on the island. On top of all the good loot here, though, is a sign that tells you how many players are currently on the island. Keep an eye on this to know if you’re alone or not, then grab your loot and start moving.

Lighthouse

If you don’t mind moving a lot and want to avoid a good deal of players at the start, then the Lighthouse is one of the best spots to make your landing. Not only does it have a solid assortment of loot for you to pick up and scavenge, but you’ll also find plenty of room for scouting at the top of the Lighthouse. Get a feel for your surroundings, spot other players out in the wild, and then head towards the inner circle. Just be ready to run, as this location is located near the edge of the circle.

Firing Range

If you’ve spent anytime in the original Black Ops game, then you’re probably pretty familiar with the idea of Firing Range. There are lots of open windows, corners to watch, and—of course—plenty of loot to claim as your own. The only downside here is the number of players that will eventually find their way here. That means you’ll want to get in and out quickly, otherwise you might end up pinned down and fighting for your very survival before you expect to.

Hydro Dam

The final landing spot we’d like to point out on our list is the Hydro Dam. While this location is a little out of the way, it has proven to be a popular spot for many looting things early on. There are also two buildings just west of the dam that you can find plenty of gear in, so make sure you check those out as well. Just keep an eye out for other players, as the location can be pretty tricky as many players make their way here.

Of course, anywhere you land in Blackout is sure to grant you some kind of loot for your trouble. The problem, though, is finding the spots that work best for your playstyle. The ones we’ve listed above have proven to be some of our favorites, and we’ve survived quite a while when using them as they allow us to get geared up quickly.
