Borderlands 3 Circle of Slaughter Locations Guide

Just so we’re totally clear, the Circles of Slaughter in Borderlands 3 are places where you can take your killing tendencies to another level. Tired of just facing down bullet sponges? Well, the enemies in a Circle of Slaughter get tougher with each round that you successfully take down. However, access to these places is for murder connoisseurs only: you have to find them in the overworld or piggyback onto someone who’s already got them in matchmaking. You can find them as part of side quests, or by running around. Here are the three circles and where they’re located.

The Slaughter Shaft — Pandora, Konrad’s Hold

If you’re looking for somewhere to crack skulls and decapitate people in Konrad’s Hold, then you’re in luck. This is an area that’s accessible relatively close to the end of the game. As you’re wrapping up your business in the hold, you’ll see The Slaughter Shaft helpfully earmarked as a location and you can speak to the relevant authorities (see: murder supervisor) to unlock this.

Cistern of Slaughter — Promethea, Meridian Metroplex

You’d think that such a thriving metropolis would be free of seedy backdoor slaughterhouses, but you’d be wrong. Law enforcement isn’t a particularly popular profession on Promethea by the looks of it, so we’re not totally surprised by this turn of events. Look out for someone oriented south-west of the fast travel station, smack dab in the middle fo the Metroplex, standing by an elevator. Once you pick up the side quest from them, you can descend into the Cistern of Slaughter.

Slaughterstar 3000 — Nekrotafeyo

To get to this planet you’re going to be staring the end-game straight in the face. The Slaughterstar 3000 is in the south-westernmost tip of the planet’s map, and you’re going to be scanning the walls for a side quest indicator. Once you’ve done that and taken yourself back to Sanctuary, you’ll find that you’ve actually unlocked a location called Slaughterstar 3000. This is really the pinnacle of slaughtering: a whole planet dedicated to it. Just go there like you would any other planet, and commence the bloodshed.

Now that you’ve got our handy guide on the Borderlands 3 Circle of Slaughter locations, carrying out indiscriminate amounts of (controlled) murder should be a piece of cake. If you need a hand sussing out an accessory to murder, like the Rick and Morty gun, then we’ve got a guide for that too.
