If you’re hoping to play with your friends in Palworld, knowing which version to buy is rather important. Can those playing on PC Game Pass join up with their Xbox friends, or is Steam the way to go for this release?
Can You Play Palworld On PC Game Pass & Xbox Game Pass?
You’ll be relieved to know that PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass players can jump into the fun together and play multiplayer in this exciting survival-crafting adventure. After sending off an invite code, up to three other players can join your game, and you’ll be able to explore this massive world without any issues. Well, there may be some growing pains with servers, but beyond that, you’ll be ready to jump in and start building bases and friendships together.
We tested it this morning, and after sending the Invite Code for multiplayer, an Xbox player was able to join my PC session with no issues. They did need to create a new character, however, so make sure that you’re ready to make that commitment before jumping into a new multiplayer session.
This could help save some cash, as well, since you won’t need to purchase multiple copies of the game to play with your friends. Official Cross-Platform support is coming in the future, so you can eventually join up with your friends who are playing on Steam, but for now, Game Pass may be the way to go to ensure that multiplayer mayhem can ensue. One thing to note, however, is the Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass versions of the game do not offer Dedicated Servers, so you can only play with four players total instead of 32 players on a proper server, so make sure that you’re keeping that in mind when selecting where you want to play.
No matter if you’re jumping in on your Steam Deck or playing on Xbox and PC, Palworld has plenty to offer gamers who are searching for a new crafting/survival game. Make sure to check out our section below to learn more about this game, and see what is waiting for you in its massive world.
