If you’re anything like me, the first thing you check out within the world of a new survival-crafting game is its fishing mini-game to see how good it is. Can you take to the lakes in LEGO Fortnite, or is Fishsticks the only fish around?
Can You Go Fishing in LEGO Fortnite?
While it may look like The Brat is casting a line into the ocean to catch some fish here, there is currently no available option to reel in a few tasty creatures of your own in LEGO Fortnite. Much like the anticipated Ninjago crossover, it looks like some features are still waiting to be added into this particular game mode. While it’s a shame, the mode is still very early in its release cycle, so we can expect to see plenty of new options added in the future as players continue to flock to this exciting mode.
As this game mode continues to receive updates and features, we can only hope that fishing is one of the coming activities. While we all love games like Stardew Valley for their relaxing atmosphere, we can’t deny that a good fishing game doesn’t get us excited to grill up a great meal while we’re trying to survive in this blocky world. While plenty of different types of food are available, adding a few fish to your dish isn’t possible as of the time of this writing.
Even if you upgrade your Crafting Bench to its full potential, there is no option to make anything like a Fishing Rod. Even though you can use one in the Battle Royale mode, plenty of items from that particular game type aren’t available here.
Sure, we could always find a way to kick out Fishsticks from our Village and maybe find out if they’re as tasty as they look, but that may be a little too morbid for the world of LEGO Fortnite.
