Many players will have their first contact with the Armored Core series with their new upcoming release Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. It’s been a good while since the last one was released, and the way we enjoy games has long evolved since. PC gamers can either play on their desktops or pull out their Steam Deck to enjoy their favorite games anywhere they want. But will they be able to play Armored Core 6 on the Steam Deck too?
Is Armored Core 6 on Steam Deck?
As reported by Digital Trends back in July, Armored Core 6 will be joining the large list of playable Steam Deck games. This was confirmed directly by the game’s producer Yasunori Ogura, who wants to assure players that the game will be fully supported in the platform as of release, as this has been the case with various recent games.
FromSoftware made sure that Elden Ring, which was released on the exact same day as the Steam Deck, would run well on the portable. It seems this is now a staple for all of the company’s upcoming games. All of their previous titles were also Deck verified at some point or another.

While Armored Core 6 isn’t Deck Verified on Steam’s console just yet, there’s little to no reason not to believe in the developers about this one. It should join the list as soon as the game is out. As for how well it will run, that’s still uncertain. Elden Ring had to be toned down to 30 FPS in order to run in it, but it has little to no performance issues, as well as having some quick loading times.
Graphical quality might take a hit, but there’s some ground to believe that the game will definitely run well in the Deck, so you might as well consider adding it to your library soon. There’s a ton of cool stuff you can get by preordering it right now.
