Palworld is taking the world by storm for many reasons, and anyone hoping to play it is eager to make it happen by any means possible. Can you jump into Palworld on your Mac, or will you need to take a few extra steps to make that happen?
Is Palworld Available on Mac?
If you’re hoping to jump into the fun of Palworld natively on your Mac, you may be disappointed to know that there isn’t a fully available version just yet. However, where there’s a will, there’s a way to make it happen. There are a variety of tools available that can get Palworld up and running on your Mac just as well as a native Windows PC, or even a Steam Deck, and it uses the same kind of technology that Valve’s portable PC does.
By using applications like Whisky, which “wraps” the program to make it run as it would on a Windows computer. You could also download and use other programs such as CrossOver, but those do require money to use, while Whisky is free. If you don’t mind doing a little bit of extra work to ensure that Palworld runs flawlessly on your M1/M2 generation Mac computer, you’ll be ready to start capturing and training your Pals with your friends or on your own.
Download and launch Steam via Whisky, and then launch Palworld through this launcher. That’s all you’ll need to do to make this work for you, and you can even play online multiplayer with friends on PC. There may be small performance hiccups, due to the program not being native to the platform, but it works better than expected.
Since the game continues to bring in millions of players, we can only hope that a native version of Palworld will eventually be made possible for Mac players so they don’t need to jump through hoops to join in with their friends on Steam, but for now, there are at least a few different workarounds available to make it possible.
