We’ve all taken the Wizarding World House Sorting quiz at some point online, but with Hogwarts Legacy out, some of us may want to change the house we’re in with a retake. The Sorting Hat aspect of the game is essentially completed through Pottermore and Wizarding World, so players will need their accounts connected to WB Games.
Before you connect though, you may be wondering if it’s possible to retake the quiz on Wizarding World. Well, the answer is complicated. There are ways to get a new house aside from simply retaking the quiz. The Sorting Hat doesn’t want Wizards and Witches messing with results, but how will it ever know?
Wizarding World – Can You Retake the House Sorting Quiz?
The simple answer to the question is no, you can’t retake the quiz if you’ve already taken it on that account. There have been some claims in the past that downloading the Wizarding World Harry Potter Fan Club app will allow you to take the quiz with different results. Then fans can choose which of the two results they have will remain. However, this can only be done once, if at all. Afterward, the quiz is only for fun.
In most cases, you’ll simply have to delete your Wizarding World Pottermore account if you want to retake the quiz. This can be done by logging into your account and clicking on the house symbol at the top right of your screen. From there, click on the gear symbol at the top right and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Here you’ll find the option to delete your account.

With the account gone, you can use that same email to create a new account and retake the House Sorting quiz. This time you can come prepared with all the answers you want. And if you have Hogwarts Legacy ready to play, simply connect the accounts and serve your house within the Wizarding World.
