Though it took a few days, we finally know exactly where the new DMZ area is and how players can find the Building 21 Access Card needed to enter. This area is full of challenging enemies and is a fantastic spot to pick up some loot along the way, but it can be a challenge to find the key in MW2.
Access Cards act in a similar manner to Stronghold Keys or normal keys that you find all around Al Mazrah when you play DMZ. The only difference is that you have a few different ways to obtain one and they are designated as their own unique item. We’ll go over exactly how you can get one and where to use it when playing MW2 or Warzone 2.
COD Modern Warfare 2 – Building 21 Access Card
There are three different methods that you can use to get a Building 21 Access Card. The first one is the easiest but it has the most RNG involved. After the Season 1 Reloaded update, orange chests can contain one of these cards each time you open one, but it’s all up to chance. Though the rate is fairly low, orange chests can at least be found in nearly any location requiring a key. That means major POIs or even typical Stongholds.
Another way to find a Building 21 Access Code is to look for Supply Drops that spawn throughout the match. To open one, you have to capture a SAM site that will then shoot down cargo planes as they pass. The Supply Drops will fall and you can mark it on the map. However, other players can look for them as well and they can take a minute to open up. Just like the chests, these aren’t a guaranteed method but there could be a higher chance.

The last method is similar to the one before, but this time you need to take out a Commander. In most matches, Commanders spawn halfway through the match and are only in one DMZ area. In these scenarios, the best option is to use rockets and ammo. Once the Commander is dead in the chopper, search the drops like you would anything else. Hopefully, you stumbled upon a Building 21 Access Card. Then you can choose to spawn in the building next time you play DMZ and Warzone 2.
