Eris Morn has made the ultimate sacrifice in the quest for vengeance. She’s twisted her form to become Hive. And now, she calls on us to be Acolytes and to bring her tithes in the form of endless rivers of blood. Her words, not mine. But one way to make this process easier is the Deck of Whispers. Here’s how the Deck of Whispers works in Destiny 2.
How Does the Deck of Whispers Work in Destiny 2?
The Season of the Witch has brought us several new activities, the most significant among Savathun’s Spire and Altars of Summoning. These two activities allow you to use the Deck of Whispers. Here’s the nitty gritty on how the Deck of Whispers works.

How to Find the Deck of Whispers in Destiny 2
Once you’ve unlocked the Deck of Whispers, you can access it in the Atheneum, the new location that can only be accessed through the H.E.L.M. Simply step through the portal in the room behind Crow and you’ll find yourself there.
How to Get Cards for the Deck of Whisper in Destiny 2
The Deck of Whispers is essentially a series of buffs that you can unlock by completing the seasonal activities, Savathun’s Spire and Altars of Summoning. There’s a chance to find cards for the deck, called Opaque Cards, randomly in these activities, as a reward for killing tough enemies, or by opening chests.
Once you have an Opaque Card in your inventory, return it to the Atheneum and to the Lectern of Divination. You can then reveal the Opaque Cards true nature. There’s a chance that the card will be a Major Arcana or a Minor Arcana.

How to Use Major and Minor Arcana Cards in Destiny 2
Minor Arcana gives you certain bonuses outside of seasonal activities. The II of Worms, for example, ensures that the next Season of the Witch weapon you focus at the Ritual Table will be Deepsight Resonant if possible. This is an immediate benefit.
Major Arcana, on the other hand, offers benefits within Savathun’s Spire and the Altars of Summoning. At any time, you can equip five of the Major Arcana that you’ve unlocked at the Lectern of Divination. Five is the minimum amount you must have in your deck for a card to be drawn during these activities. If you have less than five cards unlocked or equipped, you’ll receive no benefits.

Once you have the Major Arcana equipped, you’ll get a randomized benefit from one of those five cards when you load into Savathun’s Spire or Altars of Summoning.
Note, revealing a Major Arcana is not enough. You must also complete a quest associated with that Major Arcana once it’s revealed. The quest for The Adherent Major Arcana, for example, requires me to gather Insight from public event chests.
