Destiny 2’s latest season, Season of the Defiance, is underway with the kickoff of the Lightfall expansion. The season focuses on Mara Sov and Devrim Kay at The Farm. As the seasonal content continues and the story pushes forward after the Lightfall Campaign ends, other seasonal activities that every player knows and loves will make their return. Iron Banner comes around twice a season for players to duke it out for our lord and savior, Saladin. Here’s the Iron Banner schedule for Season of Defiance in Destiny 2 Lightfall.
Destiny 2 Lightfall Season of Defiance Iron Banner Schedule
During last week’s “This Week at Bungie” blog post, the team outlined when the two appearances of Iron Banner during the Season of Defiance will happen. You can find both of the dates below:
- March 21, 2023, through March 28, 2023
- April 4, 2023, through April 11, 2023
These dates have changed since the last announcement. The first wave of Iron banner was originally supposed to launch on March 14, 2023, but was pushed back a week for some other Destiny content reasons. This is outlined in the blog post. So make sure you’re ready to go on March 21, 2023.

“1) Good news for Trials fans! We will be moving Trials of Osiris up to next weekend instead, since the issue should be fixed before Friday morning. More info in next week’s TWAB, of course, where you can expect a double dose of Crucible event goodness.
2) There will only a be a one-week break between the first Iron Banner week (ends on 3/28) and the second Iron Banner week (starts on 4/4).”
