Did LEGO Fortnite Patch the Chest Glitch? Answered

Can you still do this glitch in LEGO Fortnite?

Placing an item into a chest, only to break it and have it repaired was an excellent glitch found in LEGO Fortnite, especially since some items seem to degrade rather quickly. However, is it just me, or is it not working anymore?

Can You Still Do The Chest Repair Glitch In LEGO Fortnite?

It does appear that the LEGO Fortnite Chest Repair glitch has been discovered and patched by Epic Games, as of a quick bit of testing. If you were unfamiliar, players could place an item that was nearing the breaking point into a chest, and then break the chest with their hands to receive an item with full stats once again.

While Loot Chests can be somewhat difficult to find in the wild, the fact that you could receive a perfectly repaired weapon by performing this glitch made things much easier, especially in Survival mode.

It does appear as of the time of this writing, however, that this glitch is no longer able to be performed. After jumping both into my Survival worlds and my Sandbox worlds, I was unable to perform this glitch any longer, meaning that Epic Games may have pushed out a hotfix to get rid of this unintended feature. It’s going to make battling against Brutes in the wilds much more difficult, but you’ll at least be able to say that you did it of your own volition this time around.

No matter if you’ve been playing since the day that LEGO Fortnite was released or you’re just trying to find out more about it before jumping in, we’ve got you covered in our section below. Be sure to find out how to make and upgrade a Crafting Bench, and see what else awaits you in the world before you.
