The newest entry in the Call of Duty franchise is just around the corner, and players are wondering if a beloved game mode will be reanimated from the dead. Keep reading to learn if MW3 will have Zombies.
Does MW3 Have a Zombies mode?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will bring on a full-on Zombie Mode for the first time in the Warfare series, so yes, you will have the opportunity to blow up some undead guts in this new addition.
Where have these zombies come from? It’s all part of Viktor’s Zakhaev’s plan, an antagonist from previous games, who breaks a bright and purple vial of Aetherium, producing a cloud of equally menacing-looking purple gas. This seems to be what turns humans into zombies.
Two major highlights of Zombie mode are that it’ll take place in an open world. The other one is that rather than the usual competitive fashion of COD games, this new mode will encourage co-op gameplay. Up to 24 players in teams of four can join a match and can decide to work together or go their own ways. The mission, rather than just exterminating the zombies, is to contain them in a game mode called Operation Deadbolt.
There are not only zombies on this battlefield, however. Alongside the sea of undead, you’ll also have to face other alien-looking creatures and a group of mercenaries hired by Zakhaev to stop you and your allies. This addition of enemies builds a challenging experience.
All of this will take place in a large new in Urzikstan, containing 11 main areas of interest. Within Zombie Mode, each area will have a different level of difficulty to fit all players’s needs.
COD Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 10 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
