Jumping into The Fog on the go sounds like a dream come true, so Dead by Daylight Mobile fans have it made in the shade. While some features are exclusive to this version, some parts are a bit behind compared to their console and PC counterparts. While you can emote with the best of ’em, can you play alongside these other players, or will you be condemned to the world of mobile-only players? Let’s jump into this unique version and see what you’ll be up against.
Can You Play Against Console And PC Players In DBD Mobile?
At this point in time, there is no crossplay between PC, Console, and Mobile versions of DBD. While Android and iOS players can jump into the fun with one another, they won’t be able to play with their friends on other platforms. There are a variety of reasons for this, including the way that DBD Mobile works, the features that it has that the Console and PC versions don’t have, and vice versa.

While DBD Mobile plays like its normal iterations, it’s missing a fair number of killers and survivors. So, those hoping to jump into the game with new releases like The Singularity or Nicolas Cage will need to purchase and play on a different platform, as these characters are nowhere to be found in the Mobile release. This makes trying to pair up teams a bit more difficult, especially if almost half the roster is nowhere to be found.
The other issue is, Dead by Daylight Mobile is being produced by a different team. While Behaviour is still helping out with it, this version is being developed by NetEase Games, so there may be things on the backend that prevent Cross Play from happening. While some games like Fortnite can make this happen with ease, it’s likely because all versions are developed in-house compared to being developed by a separate team.
Does Dead by Daylight Offer Cross Progression From Console To Mobile?
If you’re hoping to grind your favorite base game killer or survivor on the go, you may be hoping that this version will let you bring your progress over. Unfortunately, just like Cross-Play, there is no Cross Progression in DBD Mobile, and it doesn’t seem that the developers are planning on adding this feature any time soon. Cross Progression currently only exists between the PC and Nintendo Switch versions of the game, so even Xbox and PlayStation players are out of luck. Well, unless we count the Stadia version also supporting this feature, but we bid a good soldier an early farewell.
So, if your favorite Killer or Survivor has made the cut in Dead by Daylight Mobile, you can still get some practice in but be prepared to play against only Mobile players. I don’t think I would have had the same love for the game as I do now if I started here, but it’s a great option for those hoping to give DBD a test run before jumping in for a full purchase.
