Nowadays, it seems to be harder than ever to get your hands on a Physical Copy of a game, especially if it’s something that happens to be a little more niche than normal. While Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective was a hit back on the Nintendo DS, it seems that some players may have given up hope on getting their hands on a copy that they can hold in their hands. Will this remastered version of an excellent puzzle adventure have a physical copy, or will we have to Soul Jump into our console of choice to play this one?
Will Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Get A Physical Edition?
It’s a little complicated, but fans have a few different options when it comes to getting their hands on a physical copy of this ghostly adventure. Originally shown on the Japanese Capcom page, it seems there will be a few different versions of Ghost Trick available for those that have the urge to keep a physical copy of this one hanging around.
However, if you’re in the States, you won’t be able to just walk into your favorite brick-and-mortar store to purchase this one. If you’re hoping to get your hands on it, you’re going to need to employ the help of a site like PlayAsia, which has copies available for PlayStation and Switch, but unfortunately nothing for Xbox owners. This could be due in part to the lack of demand for this particular family of consoles in the region.

If you’re a major Ghost Trick fan, you can also find the special edition available on PlayStation and Switch, but they are going to run you a little bit more. They’re somehow still cheaper than the Nintendo DS Original by about three times, so you can at least feel good about that fact.
For collectors and those looking to have something that will likely triple in value over the years, it almost goes without saying that you should consider snapping one of these up before they inevitably sell out once again. Plus, if we want to finally get a sequel to this game, we should consider snagging up four of five copies each. Kidding… unless?
If you don’t want to wait for your copy to arrive, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective will be available as a digital purchase in the coming weeks so you can jump right into the adventure if you don’t mind double dipping. No matter if this is your first time on the case, or if you’re a repeat tricker, this is one of those games that you shouldn’t miss.
