This means that you will need to be playing on the same platform if you want to play the game with you friends. The good news is, No Man’s Sky is now available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, so you have plenty of options for how you can and will be able to play it with your friends.

There’s a lot to do in No Man’s Sky, and while crossplay isn’t a function right now, there’s always the possibility that something may come down the line. Hello Games has stated that they have a ton of content planned to release over the remainder of the year, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that there is plenty of chance for more options to come in the future. For now, though, all we can do is wait for official word of whether crossplay is something that we’ll ever see or not.
