Fishing is a popular mechanic in video games, with the internet always excited when it’s shown off in a trailer. Fae Farm includes Fishing in the game, and you will need to participate and level the skill to complete story-based quests, friend quests, job quests, and the Alamac. There are 42 species of fish in total, and they exist all over Azoria. The below guide will clearly illustrate where to find every species of fish in Fae Farm.
How to Find All Fish in Fae Farm
Firstly, make sure that you have visited Eddy the Fisherman at Stay-a-While Bay to obtain a Fishing Rod. As you advance your Fishing Skill, return to Eddy to upgrade your Fishing Rod. This is important as the rarer fish can be quite challenging to catch, and having an upgraded rod makes a noticeable difference.
On top of fish only being caught in certain areas. Certain species are only caught in certain seasons, certain weather, and specific times of the day. It is best to make sure that you plan your seasons in advance so that you don’t miss out and have to wait until the following year. I can tell you from experience that that’s quite a pain!
How to Fish in Fae Farm
Once you understand how the fishing mechanics in Fae Farm work, it is really quite simple! When you see a fish in a body of water, manually select your fishing rod, and a cast line will appear. Move it left and right to change the location, and forward or back to choose how far you wish to cast the line. When you are happy with your choice, press A to cast it.
Some fish move both faster and more irradicably than others. It is a good idea to observe the path that they take before casting your line so that you have the best chance of catching them.
Once your line is cast, press A to jiggle the lure once the fish is in close proximity to it. I have found that the fish will take the bait on the third jiggle. Make sure that you are not too close to land during this process, as you may end up reeling your line in, and having to start the process all over again.
How to Get to the Deep-Sea and Seafood Fish Locations
If you have never swam too far out or read the fish descriptions in the Almanac, you may have spent a significant portion of the game not knowing that there are two more fishing areas, both of which boast unique fish. Below, you will find directions to both locations.
Seafood Creatures
To access the fishing area for seafood creatures, you must have completed the Scorched Caverns and received the Bash ability. Once this has been done, visit the beach area near Eddy the Fisherman. From here, swim south until you hit the island. Climb it via the righthand side, and then fish off the pier.
Deep-Sea Fish
To access the fishing area for deep-sea fish, first make your way to the Saltwater Mines. Once you are at the entrance, swim south until you find an island. Climb up the southeast side and then run over to the island’s western side to fish up deep-sea fish. Alternatively, jumping off the broken bridge near the Saltwater Mines will bring you to the island if you time the double jump correctly.
Rare fish are differentiated from regular spawns by the white, circular, starry shine that surrounds them.
Fish Found at the Lowlands
The following fish can be found in the rivers and ponds in the main area of Azoria. To catch these fish, you will require a Basic Rod.

There’s quite a few fish to discover, and many of them have certain criteria to meet before they will appear. But, it’s very rewarding when they do. Catching them all will not only complete your Almanac, but it’s also the Fishing Job Quest achievement that awards you the outfit!
