As Final Fantasy XIV’s Letter from the Producer Live 73 began to wind down, producer Naoki Yoshida held a Q&A session between himself and players in-game, answering what ever curiosities they’d have for him. Live Letter 73 marks the eighth 14-hour broadcast the FFXIV team has held which devotes the first half to covering upcoming game updates, while the later half includes interviews with the development team. Here’s what’s been announced for the upcoming patch 6.25 in Final Fantasy XIV.

Patch 6.25 – Buried Memory 1.5
Patch 6.25 is scheduled to launch on October 18, 2022.
Gameplay Updates
- New Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventure quests
- First stage of Manderville Relic Weapons quest line begins
- New Disciple of the Land Tribal Quests – Omicrons
- The Sil’dihn Subterrane – first Variant and Criterion Dungeons released
- New “private eye” glamour set added
Job Adjustments
- Numerical values will be adjusted in patch 6.28
- Further job adjustments in 6.28 to address issues between melee and ranged damage
PvP
- Paladin’s Cover will see changes in 6.25
- Further PvP Job changes will happen in 6.28

Other Information
- Patch 6.28 to be launched on November 1, 2022.
- Encyclopedia Eorzea Vol 3 is officially in production. No information on a possible release date has been announced yet.
- New North American Data Center (Dynamis) to be launched alongside patch 6.28 on November 1, 2022.
- Dynamis Data Center will consist of four new worlds – Halicarnassus, Maduin, Marilith, Seraph
- First housing lottery for Dynamis DC servers will open on November 5, 2022.
- Plans to add additional housing wards to all servers, though no date mentioned yet.
- Developers are working on enabling the placement of housing garden patches at Island Sanctuaries.
- Developers are working on allowing emotes to be used while wearing fashion accessories (umbrellas, wings, etc.)
