Fire Emblem Three Houses Budding Talent List — All Available Hidden Talents

It’s probably important to get one thing out of the way: not every single student has a Budding Talent. That doesn’t mean that the kids who don’t have one are inherently inferior on the battlefield in some way, it’s just how things shake out. Again, levelling these Budding Talents is an optional activity, so we’ll let you be the judge once you check out the list of Talents and bonuses below as to whether or not the grind is worth it.

Claude’s Budding Talent is the Axe. The bonus you get from unlocking this is a combat ability called Diamond Axe.

Mercedes’ Budding Talent is the Bow. The bonus you get from unlocking this is a combat ability called Waning Shot.

Dorothea’s Budding Talent is Faith. The bonus you get from unlocking this is +20 AVO when she uses White Magic.

Byleth’s Budding Talent is Faith. The bonus you get from unlocking this is +20 AVO when you use White Magic.

Ferdinand’s Budding Talent is Heavy Armor. The bonus you get from unlocking this is -6 SPD to enemies on their next turn after sustaining damage from him.

Hilda’s Budding Talent is Heavy Armor. The bonus you get from unlocking this is -6 SPD to enemies on their next turn after sustaining damage from her.

Hubert’s Budding Talent is the Lance. The bonus you get from unlocking this is a combat ability called Frozen Lance.

Ashe’s Budding Talent is the Lance. The bonus you get from unlocking this is -5 DEF to enemies on their next turn after sustaining damage from Ashe.

Marianne’s Budding Talent is the Lance. The bonus you get from unlocking this is a combat ability called Frozen Lance.

Edelgard’s Budding Talent is Reason. The bonus you get from unlocking this is +10 CRIT when she uses Black Magic.

Felix’s Budding Talent is Reason. The bonus you get from unlocking this is +10 AVO when he uses Black Magic.

Flayn’s Budding Talent is Reason. The bonus you get from unlocking this skill is -6 MAG to enemies on their next turn after sustaining damage from her.

Ignatz’s Budding Talent is Reason. The bonus you get from unlocking this is -6 STR to enemies on their next turn after sustaining damage from him.

Sylvain’s Budding Talent is Reason. The bonus you get from unlocking this is +20 AVO when he uses Black Magic.

Bernadetta’s Budding Talent is Riding. The bonus you get from unlocking this is that she can pass through enemies if she has movement remaining.

Dimitri’s Budding Talent is Riding. The bonus you get from unlocking this is -1 movement to enemies on their next turn after sustaining damage from Dimitri.

Lysithea’s Budding Talent is the Sword. The bonus you get from unlocking this is a combat ability called Soulblade.

Now that you have a full list of what your students’ Budding Talents are and what bonuses they’ll give on the battlefield, you can make an informed choice about deciding to invest in leveling these hidden skills up. Remember, your students’ Budding Talents will often be underdeveloped skills, or skills that they’re actually bad at, so it’s definitely going to be a long, hard slog.
