Chapter 5 was lacking items that completely refill your shields when Season 1 went live in Fortnite, but Flowberry Fizz has arrived to fix that. One of the first updates to the game in 2024 brings the bubbly drink to the Battle Royale and I’m here to explain what it does.
What is Flowberry Fizz in Fortnite?
Flowberry Fizz is a consumable that you can use to provide 100 Shield to you and any of your teammates who are in the immediate vicinity. To use the item, you need to hold down your standard “use” or “fire” button instead of tapping like you usually would. As you hold down your button, the fizz drink will splash all around you. If you stop holding the button, the rest of the Flowberry Fizz can be saved in your inventory.
On top of the shield that the drink provides, absorbing any of the fizz will give you a short low gravity buff. Like so many other low-gravity items in the past, you can jump high, use more forward momentum, and you won’t take any fall damage while the boost is active. But the boost is short-lived and is the same one you can find from Flowberries on the map.
Where to Find Flowberry Fizz in Fortnite Chapter 5
The best place to find Flowberry Fizz is the Fencing Fields point of interest on the southern side of the Fortnite map. However, you can find the fizz drink as ground loot or in chests anywhere on the map. I was able to find it as soon as I landed in Classy Courts on the northern side of the map, and I found some on the ground in Pleasant Piazza.
Fencing Fields and the Floating Island are still your best chance of getting Flowberry Fizz. Berries have always been easy to field at the fields POI, so the fizz appearing there more often makes sense. And the Floating Island always has the best loot if you can claim it for yourself.
While you’re on the island, think about picking up the Enforcer AR if it appears.
