Battle Royale has made its way to Fortnite in a free-to-play mash-up of Fortnite’s building and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds intense action-packed free-for-all gameplay, and it’s been quite a ride for many players. If you’re new to the Battle Royale genre, though, and you’ve never played other games like PUBG, then Fortnite Battle Royale might be a bit tough to wrap your head around. To help you out we’ll go over some of the best weapons in Fortnite Battle Royale that you can look out for while playing the game.
Best Battle Royale Weapons
There are a lot of weapons to find and use in Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode, and knowing which ones are the best will help make the decision to ditch one gun for another much easier. We’ll be taking a look at four of the best guns available in the Battle Royale mode, so be sure to take notes and learn more about which guns are the best in Fortnite’s Battle Royale.
As with any ongoing game, Fortnite Battle Royale has evolved since we first created our Best Weapons in Battle Royale article. We’ve since updated the article to include the most up to date information about the game, to make sure we’re providing the most recent info and details for our readers. In the previous version of this article we only talked about three weapons. This time, however, we’ll be updating the guide to include a fourth weapon due to how valuable each of these items can be in the game.
Scoped Assault Rifle
The Scoped Assault Rifle still remains one of the best weapons in the game due to how effective it is at both medium and long ranges. It’s one of the most precise weapons you’ll find, and it offers a much quicker reload, higher magazine, and faster aiming time than any of the current sniper rifles in the game. The only downfall is the fact that this weapon doesn’t really offer much use when in close-range quarters. This means you’ll need to bring along a shotgun or even a pistol or SMG to help keep you safe in close-range encounters. Still, though, thanks to its expert marksman capabilities, having a Scoped Assault Rifle in your arsenal is never going to be a bad idea.
Pump Shotgun
Before our list included the Semi-Auto Shotgun, and while it’s still just as effective as before, throughout some pretty extensive use and research, we’ve actually found that the Pump Shotgun offers more power and better versatility for players. Not only is it still super effective in close-range encounters, but you’ll also be able to make use of this weapon in medium-range combat too. It’s still not the best option for medium-range, as you’ll want to rely on an assault rifle for that, but it can put a hurting on enemies, and the fact that it offers medium-range options makes it rank higher than the Semi-Auto Shotgun. For now at least.
Silenced Pistol
Having just been added to the game recently, we wanted to make sure we added the Silenced Pistol to our list simply because of how much versatility it offers for players. Not only is the weapon suppressed, meaning that you’ll be able to take shots at players and them not hear where they are coming from, but it also has quite a bit of power for a pistol. Still, we wouldn’t suggest only going in with a Silenced Pistol (unless you like insane challenges). As far as great sidearms go, though, it’s a fantastic choice, and definitely something to have around.
Scar Assault Rifle
The Scar still stands among the best, and this close to medium range weapon is one of those that you’re going to want to keep around as much as possible. It also works fairly well in longer range encounters—though not as well as the Scoped Assault Rifle or the sniper rifles that you have to choose from. Its magazine size and fire rate are all still among the greatest you’ll have the option of finding, and we really wouldn’t suggest any other assault rifle over this one.
These are just three of the weapons that you can come across in Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode. If you’re looking for the best weapons, though, they are some of the greatest that you can nab, and you should always take them into consideration when you find them.
